Grade 11 student from Misk Schools, Deema O, has secured a place at CERN’s prestigious student programme in Geneva, a feat achieved by fewer than 2% of applicants worldwide.

In October this year, she will be one of just 30 international students to join leading scientists at CERN, the European Organisation for Nuclear Research, studying an intensive physics course that blends theory with hands-on experimentation and an opportunity to visit the world’s largest particle physics laboratories and learn from CERN physicists and engineers.
