Middle Years Programme (MYP)
The Middle Years Programme (MYP) aims to develop active learners and internationally minded young people who can empathize with others and pursue lives of purpose and meaning.
The International Baccalaureate Organisation (IBO) mission statement and philosophy of education, prepares students to be ready for life beyond school and hence has a strong alignment with the MiSK Schools’ Vision.
The programme empowers students to inquire into a wide range of issues and ideas of significance locally, nationally and globally. The result is young people who are creative, critical and reflective thinkers. (http://www.ibo.org/programmes/middle-years-programme/what-is-the-myp/)
MiSK Schools will offer the MYP to our students in grades six through ten in order to prepare them for success in the IB Diploma Program in grades 11 and 12. Students in the MYP program will be enrolled in the following courses: Language acquisition, Language and literature, Individuals and societies, Sciences, Mathematics, Arts, Physical and health education and Design.
